As a homeowner can I feel confident tackling some projects of which I have no knowledge or special expertise?

A: Yes! Our owners and employees have extensive construction and rental experience, and will give you our best, collective advice about how to accomplish your projects in the most efficient, safe, and cost-effective way. Our team can suggest the appropriate equipment for your projects, and will educate you so you feel secure in the machine’s operation and capabilities before you leave our property. Bring any questions with you, or contact us in advance to assess the best solution for your needs.

For your safety, be sure to investigate any requirements and regulations for your project and the area you are working in. (For example, you’ll need to research city or regional building requirements such as depth for gas line trenches, caisson diameters, etc.)  Any underground projects require a locator’s assessment, so be sure to call 811 before beginning any underground work.

Is it possible for an individual to do projects that contractors normally do?

A: Yes, depending on the amount of expertise and equipment required, it is possible to complete projects you may not have imagined possible! While more complex projects should be directed to contractors, having the guidance and training from our knowledgeable staff will be all you need for many simpler projects around your home and yard.

If, for example, you have questions about how to prepare your garden for spring planting or how to trim a tree in your yard, contact us so we can give you the best advice on equipment applications and the most cost-efficient tools and equipment for rent. You can easily learn how to operate a garden tiller or pole saw, and many other pieces of equipment, with a few basic instructions.

We believe there is great satisfaction in accomplishing projects on your own, and we pride ourselves in empowering you to do just that!

Can you deliver the rental equipment for my project?

A. Yes, we have light delivery options as well as semi trucks that deliver equipment throughout the Pikes Peak Region. We calculate our delivery charges from our location that is closest to your jobsite. This means that overall we can deliver more quickly and less expensively than any other rental company in town. We frequently deliver as far north as Denver, south to Pueblo, east to Limon and west to Breckenridge. One of our strengths is prompt deliveries and pick-ups at reasonable costs. Call us or submit a quote request and include your address or jobsite location to have the delivery cost included in your rental quote.

We also rent trailers and receiver hitches for hauling your own equipment if you have the appropriate towing vehicle.

What is required from a customer wishing to rent tools or equipment from Bill's Equipment & Supply?

A: A valid driver’s license is required, as well as a major credit/debit card. (We do not accept checks or cash to initiate a rental transaction. If you prefer to pay cash upon return of the rental equipment, we will refund your initial credit card charge at that time.)

What does it cost to rent equipment from Bill's Equipment & Supply?

A: You can get a general sense of cost from the item prices listed on our website. Keep in mind that these listings do not include required taxes that are specific to your area, fuel, merchandise, optional pickup/delivery charges, and the damage waiver.

A damage waiver covers the normal wear and tear of the equipment during proper operation. For more details, see our Rental Policies.

May I set up a charge account with Bills?

A: Yes, simply complete our secure online credit application. Alternatively, you may download our credit application form and submit it by fax, mail, email, or in person.

Upon approval (usually within 5 business days) you will receive a phone call, followed by a “Welcome to BES” packet that initiates your open account with Bill’s Equipment & Supply, Inc.

What should I do if my rental equipment isn't working properly or doing its intended job?

A: If you’re having problems starting or operating the rental equipment, call us and tell us what’s happening. We may be able to walk you through some common mishaps and give instructions over the phone. If no simple solution is found, we’ll dispatch someone from our service team to repair or replace your equipment, and we’ll settle the time lost. If Bill’s Equipment & Supply is already closed, call first thing the next business day and we will make note on your contract and fix the time. Alternatively, you may call a manager if he has provided you with his mobile number.

May I rent equipment from one location and return it to another location?

A:. Absolutely. We have 3 convenient locations in Colorado Springs: Downtown, East, and North. You may pickup and return your rental equipment at whichever location best serves your needs. Just let us know, at the time of your rental, where you plan to return the equipment so we can adjust our inventories and satisfy other reservations.

Do you have OTHER merchandise available?

A: Yes, our rental counters stock a variety of construction-related merchandise, and our Sales Division has an extensive inventory that ranges from gloves, shovels and rain gear to tools and safety equipment, as well as small to large construction equipment and parts. We have a Sales Showroom at each Bill’s Equipment & Supply location, and delivery options as well. Please contact our Sales staff with any questions.

Do you offer any seasonal promotions or customer specials?

A: Yes, we do! Receive news and special email promotions by subscribing to our email list. We send occasional emails about special promotions, equipment news and events, and we promise never to send you junk!
